I am selling this magnificent wedding dress which I made myself in 2003 inspired by a Worth gown of 1881 on display in the Victoria and Albert Museum. It comprises a steel boned hand finished bodice and a skirt with attached train.
The underskirt is made from embroidered taffeta silk and the dress and bodice are made from heavy duchess satin, trimmed in hand made pleats and scalloped soft lace. The bodice laces up the back like a corset and handmade loops for the strings rather than metal eyelets.
This dress is modeled by a 5ft 4in high model in 1.5in heels. The dress was made for a 36c - 29 - 38 measurement and can be worn with a corset underneath it if required although the bodice is quite substantial.
This piece does not come with the accessories pictured.
Since this dress is very heavy I can only recommend collection or I will deliver at 12p per mile distance traveled at your convenience. Alternatively you are welcome to arrange your own courier.
Viewing is recommended. You are welcome to come and try the dress on at my studio in Manchester.
